Marguerite "Mickie" Thomas, died peacefully in her home in Rio Verde, Arizona on December 19th, 2015 due to complications with Parkinson's Disease. She was surrounded by loved ones. Mickie was born in Thief River Falls, MN in 1941. She attended the University of MN where she met John Thomas. They married in 1961 and raised 4 children in the Twin Cities. She was a devoted mother and inspired her children through her own interests: modeling locally, attending the MN Orchestra, and serving on the board of the Children's Theater Company of Minneapolis. She researched her family's French-Canadian ancestry extensively and loved to travel, visiting all 7 continents.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Marie Jorgenson; as well as her sister, Susan Krog.

Mickie is survived by her 4 children, Mark Thomas and his wife, Susan Bernstein; Noel Thomas; Jolie Drury and her husband, Jonathan Drury; and John Thomas; by her former husband, John E. Thomas, and her partner, Donald Johnson; by 5 grandchildren, Judah and Liza Rose Thomas and Nathaniel, Gideon and Elijah Drury; as well as by her elder sister, Patricia Bartolone, her husband Steve, and their 4 sons. A celebration of Mickie's life will be held in Rio Verde, AZ, on December 27th.
