He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Emerardo Suarez and Merehilda Castillo, his Padrino de Matrimony, Anastasio Suarez, and his aunt, Dolores Suarez.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Felix; his children: Emerardo (Ashley) Suarez, Janet Suarez, Rocio (Carlos) Vasquez, and Eliseo Suarez; and his eight grandchildren: Jason, Valerie, Emma, Jazlyn, Carlos, Elio, Carter, and Victoria; also, his mother, Teresa Suarez; brothers, Guadalupe (Socorro) Vega and Javier (Emma) Vega; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Elio loved his family and worked hard to provide for them as a fence builder. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. “Papi” was deeply loved by his children and grandchildren whom he adored. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
