She was born August 26, 1944 in Mecklenburg County to the late Billy Dean and Helen Keziah Roberts.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Benny and Ricky Roberts.
Mrs. Porter was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her lord and was of the Baptist faith. She will be dearly missed by many.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Michael D. Porter of the home; one daughter, Julie A. English of Whiteville, NC; one half-sister, Terry Roberts of Huntersville, NC; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
