Joseph Richard Patrick, 86, of Harleyville, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 27, 2020 surrounded by his family at Trident Medical Center.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 30, 2020 at Thompson Cemetery, Dorange.

Joseph was born on March 23, 1934 in Reevesville, a son of the late Daniel Lewis and Cora Ann Dukes Patrick. He was a retired Giant Cement repairman and truck driver with Keith Britt Trucking, and a farmer. He was a member of the St. George Unit of the SC Army National Guard, Reevesville Baptist Church and president of the Cattle Creek Hunting Club. He was predeceased by a brother, Daniel L. Patrick, stepson, Erine Wesner and granddaughter, Amanda Mizell.

Surviving is his special companion, Jane O’Quinn Canady, Harleyville; a son, Keith (Kelly) Patrick, Reevesville; a daughter, Renee P. (Ross) Scruggs, St. George; grandchildren, Kacey (Jeremy) Horton, Justin (Sabrina) Scruggs, Lauren Scruggs and Ross (Taylor) Scruggs, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Blewer, Ayden Mizell, Fisher Horton, Ellie Horton, Rylee Mitchell, Miley Knight, Forrest Scruggs and Bailey Scruggs; sisters, Bessie Rae P. McAlhany and Francell P. (Chesley) Bair; and, a special great-grandnephew, Jackson McAlhaney.
