He was a native of Ware County, GA and spent many years traveling before returning to Waycross 20 years ago. He was a welder at Waycross Recycling, and enjoyed fishing and enjoying life.
He was the son of the late Clarence Thomas, Sr. and Ruby Nell Rufflin Thomas. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Donnell Thomas.
He is survived by a niece, Pamela Smith (husband Ricardo) of Waycross, GA; his siblings, Carrie Thomas (husband Ronnie Blackshear) of Fort Pierce, FL, Willie James Thomas of Waycross, GA, and Alice Poole (Anthony) of Waycross, GA; an uncle, Robert Dotson (wife Ellen) of St. Mary’s, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
