Married Lewis Royse on July 5, 1893 in Bartholomew County, and they were the parents of Ralph Royse Sr., Eldon Royse, Bryan Royse, Chester Royse, Josie R. (Royse) Prichard, Violet R. (Royse) Miller, Lewis Royse, Clora R. (Royse) Essex Seiloff, and Lora (Royse) Manion Elliott McClelland.

Blood Poisoning Fatal to Former Edinburg Resident – Funeral Sunday.

Edinburg, Oct. 27 – Mrs. Ella Royse, 69, widow of the late Lewis Royse, well-known farmer of the Kansas community, died at 7:10 last night at the Bartholomew County Hospital, where she was taken Saturday morning suffering from blood poisoning.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Edinburg Christian Church, and burial will be made in Rest Haven Cemetery. The body will be moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Miller, on the W. D. Wells farm, west of town, where friends may call after Saturday noon.

She was born in this state on June 3, 1870, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Daum Goetz. She had spent many of her years in this community, having lived a part of the time in Edinburg. She later moved to Indianapolis and made her home there until she became ill, when she was brought to the Miller home. She is a member of the Kansas Christian Church and worked as a nurse for a number of years.

Four daughters and four sons survive. They are Miss Clora Royse and Mrs. Ray Manion of Indianapolis, Mrs. Bryan Prichard of Columbus, Mrs. Miller, Sam E. Royse, near Columbus, Ralph and Eldon Royse of Elreno, Okla.; and Bryan Royse of Anderson. There are four stepchildren, Mrs. Edward Snyder of Edinburg, Mrs. Howard Hamner of Waldron, Wilbur and Ora Royse of Oklahoma; two brothers, John and James Goetz, and three sisters, Mrs. John Coffman, Mrs. Charles Stillabower of Nineveh, and Mrs. Charles Wirey of Franklin.
