Juanita "Skeeter" Arlene Clifton, daughter of Charles Robert and Mary Gertrude (Lively) Simmons, was born October 26, 1941 in Seymour, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, August 1, 2007, in St. John's Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, nine months, and five days.
She was preceded in death by a son, Sammy Greico; her parents; and three brothers, Sam, Bill, and Larry Simmons.
She was born in Seymour and moved with her family to California before moving back to Seymour forty-four years ago. She owned Skeeters Café in Seymour for a short time and also worked as a waitress in Mountain Grove and Seymour.
Skeeter had made her profession of belief in Christ and followed the Baptist faith.
She centered her life on her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching her grandsons play basketball, and loved growing beautiful flowers.
Skeeter was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
