Carolyn Ruth Wiggins, 79, passed away on June 6, 2016, at Woodland Village following a battle with cancer. Carolyn was born on November 14, 1936, in Eva, Alabama, to George and Pearl McGukin.
She graduated from Eva High School and then married Jaudon (Don) Wiggins, of Duncanville, AL, in 1955. Together they raised their only child, Nancy, in Cullman.
After a long career, Carolyn retired from SouthTrust Bank in 2001. She was particularly known for her love for her church, family gatherings, and for her cooking, especially her coconut pie and pear preserves.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don Wiggins, her daughter Nancy (David) Webb, brother Winford (Sylva) McGukin, and a number of other relatives and close friends.
Visitation is Wednesday, June 8, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Moss Service. Funeral services will be performed by Mr. Ralph Sellers at St. Andrews United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 9th at 1:00pm.
Memorial donations may be made in Carolyn's name to Hospice of Cullman County. Sincere appreciation to all of those who cared for her during her illness.
