Lloyd Gerkin, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Indiana University Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born January 23, 1929, in Monroe County, he was the son of Hershel and Pearl (Kern) Gerkin. He married Jessie Colleen Carroll May 4, 1947.
Lloyd retired from General Motors and was a farmer and carpenter. He graduated from Huron High School in 1947. Lloyd enjoyed woodworking, fishing, watching sports, and traveling in his motor home.
