Carole Lee (Stewart) Barton, 86, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2020. She was a dedicated wife and mother. Carole was a Christian by faith and also enjoyed traveling. She was born on February 18, 1934, Marengo, Indiana to the late Arthur and Cledie (Key) Stewart.
Carol was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. Barton; siblings, Robert Stewart, Isma Potter, Malcolm Stewart, Clifford Key, Barbara Browne, Maxine and Dean Stewart.
Carole is survived by her sons, James B. Barton, Edward Barton; grandsons, Randal, Christopher, Joshua Barton (Clarissa); eleven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Wilma Sikes, Maggie Stewart, Lloyd Stewart and Betty Eastridge.
Services are private and Carole will be laid to rest beside her husband at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
