Mary Patricia Roe age 71, passed away Wednesday March 25, 2020 in Signature Healthcare in Bluffton. She was born in Springfield, Illinois on August 7, 1948. She was preceded in death by her father Ray William Armstrong and her mother Mary Eileen (Dickerson) Armstrong. Also preceding in death are one brother James Anderson and sister Elizabeth Poteet.

She was the mother of Jonette Stevens and Patricia Willoughby, grandmother to Ashley Bessesen, Melissa Buzzard and Michael Stevens and great grandmother to nine.

She has also nine remaining siblings. She was a very strong and independent woman who loved to bake and prepare home cooked meals. She enjoyed thrift shopping, crocheting afghans, painting by numbers, coloring, sewing and hairdressing.

She loved hanging out with her cat, Snowball and cheating at Uno into the wee hours of the night.

May God take her into his hands, love her, protect her and keep her safe. She will be missed but never forgotten by family and friends.

There will be no funeral services. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
