Jimmy Glenn May, 79 years old, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and friend to many was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 25, 2020, surrounded by his loving family at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He entered this world on June 13, 1940, born to Ernest and Ophelia May, in Monticello, MS.
For those who had the honor of knowing him, you know that he was by far one of the sweetest, most caring, loving, but most of all Godliest men you would ever meet. God doesn't make many like him, and he will be missed by all.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Hedy May; sons; Timothy May , Lamar Hammond, Kevin Stephens; daughter Susan Talbot, Jessica Jugsujinda, Vanessa Achord; grandchildren; Katelyn Strumolo, Kendall Talbot, Rachel May, Landon Marchie, Katelin Corona, Cheylin Stephens; great grandchildren Peter Strumolo, Lucas Strumolo, and Oakleigh Watson; brothers, Ernie May, Lester May; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Ernest May; mother, Ophelia May and son, Scottie Hammond.
A private graveside service will be held at this time. A celebration of life for Jimmy Glenn will be held at a later date for family and friends.
Our family would especially like to recognize the staff and caregivers at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. We are forever grateful for the loving compassionate care that you showed. We would especially like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit, whom ministered and cared for Jimmy during his final days. You will be in our prayers and may God keep you safe.
