Actor. A veteran of stage and screen, he was best known for the box office films "Desperately Seeking Susan" and "Crocodile Dundee." His thirty year film career included supporting roles in movies opposite Madonna, Bruce Willis, Paul Hogan, Sean Connery, and Mark Harmon. He portrayed Rosanna Arquette's husband, Gary Class, in "Desperately Seeking Susan" (1985); and Richard Mason, the narcissistic news editor in "Crocodile Dundee" (1986). He also appeared in "Blind Date" (1987), "The Presidio" (1988), and "I Don't Know How She Does It" (2005). His many television appearances ran the gamut from drama to comedy, and included roles on "St. Elsewhere, "Miami Vice," "Roseanne," "Wings," "Frasier," and "The West Wing." As a stage actor, he performed on Broadway in "Lost In Yonkers," "Best Man," and "Twelve Angry Men." He won an Obie Award for his portrayal of Al in the off-Broadway production of "Gus and Al," and was a regular member of Playwrights Horizons. He died from complications of the COVID-19 virus at age of 69.
