This memorial has received many "Corrections". I'm not sure where the name "Auchtung" [ German for "Attention" or" Heads up"] comes from. The stone shows the Maiden name as "HERWIG" in a manner which I have seen on many stones.
I am leaving this AS CORRECTED, but really feel that the true maiden name is HERWIG.
[Note I have also seen it ONCE that HERWIG would be a previous married name.
