Kathy L. Murphy, of Erlanger, KY, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care in Edgewood, KY., surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 24 in J. Q. Stovall Hospital, Grayson, KY. A daughter of the late Eugene and Bertha (Vanlandingham) Murphy. Kathy was a retired hairstylist and manager for JC Penny's, Florence, KY. After her retirement she worked as a call center manager with Huff Realty, Fort Mitchell, KY. Kathy leaves behind her dog Lady, whom she loved with all her heart. She enjoyed doing crafts and being with her grandchildren. She also loved family vacations, spending time at the beach, going on cruises, was an avid tennis fan, and enjoyed reading. She is survived by her daughters, Regina (Michael) Fewer of Huber Heights, OH; Jennifer (Sam) Cox of Hebron, KY; and sisters Jeanne Brinkman and Peggy VanVleet both of Huber Heights, OH. She leaves behind her grandchildren Brandon Fewer, Sammy Cox, Nate Cox, and Katelyn Fewer. She also leaves many other extended family members and friends who will sadly miss her. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Linnemann Family Funeral Homes, 30 Commonwealth Ave., Erlanger, KY, with memorial services to follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society or St. Elizabeth Hospice Care, Erlanger, KY, in Kathy Murphy's honor.
