Clydean Phillips, 87, of Stamford, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in a local nursing home.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Saturday, April 18, 2009, at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. James McKinnon officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuxedo under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 5 until 7 PM.
Clydean was born October 16, 1921, in Tuxedo, Texas, to Clyde and Johnnie Pritchard.
She was a lifetime resident of the area, a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union at Calvary Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union at Calvary Baptist.
Clydean was an LVN in Stamford for over 32 years.
She married H. M. Phillips on June 11, 1938 in Duncan, Oklahoma.
She is survived by 3 sons- Marcus Phillips and wife Virginia of Ennis, Texas, Billy Phillips and wife Mary Dean of Marble Falls, and James Michael Phillips and wife Tobe of Abilene; 2 sisters - Helen Stephens and husband Craig of Stamford, and Cherry Crowley and husband Jerry of Dallas; 2 sisters-in-law Ruby Pritchard of Abilene and Jo Ann Pritchard of Tuxedo; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
