Sterling Peery(Greenfield Chapel)

Sterling Lee Peery, age 83, of Greenfield, entered into the presence of Jesus on March 23, 2020. He was home surrounded by family while gospel music, old stories, and whispers of love were shared. He was a Baptist deacon and music director for 5 decades. Sterling retired as owner of Greenfield Insurance Agency in 2003.
He was married to the late Loretta Tucker Peery for 60 yrs. Sterling was the loving father of Sharon Peery Shihady (George), Troy Peery, and Starla Peery Roberson (Doug). He was the grandfather of Brandon Stephenson (Leanna), Beth Stephenson Turner, Landon Roberson, and Caris Roberson. He was the great grandfather to Layla Turner, Carter Stephenson, and Cooper Stephenson. Along with wife Loretta, Sterling was preceded in death by parents Alton and Lavergne Adams Peery, sister Alvergne Peery Prince and brother Ray Peery.
Due to Covid-19 private graveside services at 2 PM at Hornbeak cemetery in Greenfield, TN. A public memorial service will be set at a later date.
