Milton Eugene Myers, 86, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at Western Maryland Hospital Center.
Born Sept. 29, 1920, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Percy Moore and Bettie Alice Foltz Myers.
He retired in 1986 as a federal police officer with General Service Administration in Martinsburg, W.Va.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Park Road Bible Church, Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, Amy E. Bolinger Myers; children, Joyce L. Walker of Shrewsbury, Pa., David M. Myers of Elkton, Md., and Nancy J. Myers and Kenneth L. Myers, both of Hagerstown; two brothers, Richard K. Myers of Shelton, Wash., and Clifford H. Myers of Hagerstown; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mabel E. Miller; and four brothers, Henry A. Myers, Percy L. Myers, Ralph J. Myers and Donald V. Myers.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. The Rev. Ron Key will officiate. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Maryland State Veterans Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Park Road Bible Church, 750 Park Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
