AUDREY WETZEL OBITUARY
WETZEL Audrey Alice Wetzel, 91, of Chandler, AZ, passed away on February 17, 2013. She was born to George Wetzel and Rose Borges Wetzel on June 5, 1921. Audrey had a great interest in U.S. and World History as well as the Eastern and World Religions. Audrey originally graduated from Ursuline College, Louisiana and returned to higher education later in life to earn an additional degree at Soule' College in New Orleans, Louisiana. She enjoyed learning about other cultures and belief systems. As an expert quilter and craftswoman, Audrey owned and operated The Quilt Shop in Covington, Louisiana for many years that catered to other enthusiasts of the quilting craft. She took pride in eating well and was quite knowledgeable about the organic foods and farming movement. Audrey was preceded in passing by her parents, her sister Georgette Briggs, and her grandson Alexander Schuppert. She is survived by her 6 children, Natalie Hale, Andrew (Goya) Schuppert, Cynthia (Warren) Hildebrand, Mary (Mario) Vitiello, Patrice (Charles) Carmichael, and Gerard "Chip" (Cindy) Schuppert, Jr., and her siblings, Miriam (Jay) Osborne and Beverly (Bill) Troendle. Audrey also leaves 10 grandchildren behind to cherish her memory. Audrey lived a full life and will be remembered fondly. Services will be private. www.ALMoore-Grimshaw.com
