Funeral services for David Graf, 83, Aberdeen will be 2pm, Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the First Assembly of God Church in Aberdeen with Pastor Gary Wileman officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery with military honors by the Sidney L, Smith Post No. 24.

Visitation at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home.

David Richard Graf was born August 12, 1923 to Louie and Lydia (Dockter) Graf in Aberdeen, SD. David served in the United States Army in the Glider Troops for several years. He was honorably discharged and returned home to find a career in photography. David had his own photography business for 45 years.

David married Eleanor Kuebler on October 6, 1946 in Aberdeen. They were blessed with four children.

David was a member of the American Legion for 62 years. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Club, and the Eagles were he served as a president for a year. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting with friends and family.

Grateful for sharing David's life are his wife of sixty years, Eleanor Graf, three daughters, Mary Lou Reinke of Aberdeen, Judy Ann Ward of Hollendale, FL, Jean (Patrick) Tillou of Daytona Beach, FL, one son Dennis David Graf of Jacksonville, FL and four grandchildren, Dallas (Anna) Ellenbecker, Aberdeen, SFC Timothy (Melissa) Cantwell, serving in Iraq, Kris Cantwell, Texas, Jennifer Lynn (Jason) Watson; and twelve great-grandchildren,Kalyn Ann, Christeen Eleanor Marie, Kelsee Lynn, Austin Michael Francis, Kaden David, Carter Cantwell, Gracie Cantwell, Sebastian Rokko, Linda Leigh, Cody, Christian, and Colton; one brother August (Eleanor) Graf of Aberdeen, two sisters, Emily Wagner of Aberdeen and Violet Walth of Grand Island, NE.

David is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Abe and Alvin Graf; two brother-in-laws, Louis Wagner, Pastor Elton Walth; & one niece, Shirley Dame.
