Mrs. Edward J Ballard, the former Jessie V Rigney and wife of Edward J Ballard of 13 Reservoir Street, Cohoes, died shortly after being admitted to the Cohoes Memorial Hospital after being suddenly stricken at her home. She had been in the care of a physician for some time.

Mrs. Ballard was a life long resident of Cohoes and a communicant of St. Agnes Church of that city. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Miss Shiela Ballard of Cohoes; two sisters, Mrs. Lillan Juhasz of New Brunswick, NJ and Mrs John White of Cohoes; four brothers, Edmund Rigney of Cohoes, James Rigney of Kingston, William Rigney of Seattle, Washington, and Stanley Rigney of Waterford; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at A.G. Boivin's Sons Funeral Home, 70 Congress Street, Cohoes and St. Agnes Church, Cohoes.
