Linda Jean Hamilton, the daughter of Albert and Stella Mae (Johnson) Drake, was born on November 13, 1952, in Kansas City, KS. Her childhood years were spent in Kansas City, where she received her education and graduated from Rosedale High School.

On November 21, 1970 she married Richard Terry Hamilton in Kansas City, MO. To this union two sons were born, Christopher and Brian. Following their marriage, they moved to Lincoln, NE.

Linda had a babysitting service and enjoyed all the smiles and laughter of all her children she looked after.

The family then moved to Spencer where they have made their home ever since.

Linda enjoyed nature as Cardinals was her favorite bird. She liked to do crossword puzzles, talking to people and enjoying every minute she could spend visiting and talking with her grandchildren.

She had a big heart and was one of the kindest most caring people, she liked a variety of music from the 50’s and 60’s pop music to heavy metal.

Linda finally made her way back to her beloved husband on March 18, after battling various health issues over the past few years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Mary Helen McElfresh and Wilma Francis Hultquist; two nephews: Byron and Sean Grosko, her beloved husband, Richard Hamilton.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Christopher and his fiancé, Diana Thompson of Fremont, NE and Brian Hamilton of Spencer, IA; her loving cat, Eva Marie whom she adored; her ex daughter-in-law, Lisa Hamilton of Fremont, NE; two grandchildren: Zachary and Allie Hamilton; her sister-in-law, (who was more like a sister) Joyce Grosko of Shawnee, KS; many cousins, nieces and nephews and all the people whose lives she touched. The world will be a little dimmer and she will be greatly missed by everyone.

There will be no services at this time due to the Covid -19 virus.
