Tack honorably served our country in the United States Army Air Corps, during WWII. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of First Baptist Church for many years. Tack worked with Proctor and Gamble as a Millwright for over 36 years until his retirement.
Tack was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Clyde and Alice Hammock Byrd. His brother William Clyde 'Buck' Byrd. and his first wife Mildred Irene 'Dickie' McLeod Byrd.
Tack is survived by his wife of 23 years Billie Marie Byrd; his daughter Connie Byrd Hawkins.4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held privately. at Pineview Memorial Cemetery with Steven Ruff officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
