Don is survived by his wife Judy Kay (Seyller) Pruden whom he married on January 12, 1967.
Also surviving are four children, Brian (Jamie) Pruden of Aztec, N.M., Dawnel Hammond of Canton, Devin Pruden of Washington, IL., and Derek Pruden of Des Moines IA; one brother, John (Connie) Pruden; and one sister Carol (Terry) Eliott; two grandchildren, Addison Hammond and Trace Hammond; and one great grandchild.
Preceding him in death is his parents and one grandson, Keith Pruden.
Don was a Veteran of the United States Army. He served from 1967 until 1969 during the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Germany.
Don retired from Degussa, Mapleton. IL., plant in 2001 after 39 years. He enjoyed hunting fishing, and archery. He also enjoyed going to the Canton Family Restaurant for morning coffee.
Due to the IDPH COVID - 19 Mandates a private graveside service will be held at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. At a later date when permitted a celebration of life will be held. More information for the celebration will be posted when available.
Memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church.
