She was born on July 29, 1937, in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was a graduate of Anderson High School in 1956. She was a dedicated RN and also wrote a column for the Anderson Herald Bulletin. She attended Park Place Church of God, enjoyed quilting and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest "Gene" Zimmerman; two children, Paul Zimmerman and April Zimmerman; three grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathaniel Zimmerman and Kathryn Anderson-Riga; five great-grandchildren, Victoria, Grant, Grace Marie, Drake, and Kendall; one great-great-grandchild, Lukas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert L. and Elsie Pearl Alexander; a brother, John Leroy Williams; and a sister, Edna Alexander.
Cremation has been chosen by the family with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
