Mrs. Maria Aldenderfer, wife of George F. Aldenderfer, died at the Warren, Pa., insane asylum on Friday, September 13, 1906. The remains were brought home Friday evening for burial.

Mrs. Aldenderfer was born in Delaware township, Mercer county. She lived and spent most of her life in that township, all but a few years, which was spent in Hempfield township, and on date of her death was 52 years and 4 months of age. She was a daughter of the late Jonathan and Caroline Moyer. She was baptized in infancy and very early in life united with the church and at the time of her death was a faithful and honest member of the St. John's Reformed church of Delaware.

She was a kindhearted wife, mother and sister, was a good neighbor, was loved by and respected by all who knew her and was upright, honest and faithful in all things and had many friends in the community in which she dwelt. She leaves a husband and one son, Nevin L. Aldenderfer, of this place, and three sisters, Mrs. Jerry Aldenderfer, Mrs. Wilson Ramsey, Miss Alma Moyer and a brother, Nathan Moyer, all of this place, to mourn their loss. She was married to George F. Aldenderfer January 24, 1878 and their home life together was a happy one.

The funeral took place at the St. John's church in Delaware township on Sunday, September 16 at 11 a. m. The services were conducted by Rev. W. J. Muir, her pastor, who preached a very appropriate sermon from Zechariah 14-7.
