ALFRED — Andrew J. Cornell, 38, of the Waterwells Road, passed away on Monday (Sept. 19, 2016) in Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness.
He was born in Wellsville on July 9, 1978, the son of Rodney and Hazel Hinkle Cornell.
On Dec. 4, 2010, in the Bethany Presbyterian Church of Rochester, N.Y., he married Kathryn Bolinger, who survives.
He was a graduate of the Scio Central School, Jamestown Community College, St. Bonaventure University and obtained his Law Degree at the University of Akron, Ohio, and then established his law practice in Wellsville.
He was a member of the Allegany County Bar Association, Wellsville F&AM Lodge of Wellsville and was a former Lions Club member.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn; parents, Rodney and Hazel Cornell of Scio, N.Y.; brothers, Robbie (Rhonda) Cornell of Friendship, N.Y., and Daniel (Aren) Cornell of Olean, N.Y.; nephews, Brandon Cornell of Ogdensburg, N.Y., Dylan Cornell of Friendship, N.Y., Dustin Cornell of Olean, N.Y., Jaykob Cornell of Olean, N.Y.; nieces, Katelyn Cornell of Friendship, N.Y., Skylar Bolinger of Rochester, N.Y., Payton Bolinger of Rochester, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Kyle (Jessica) Bolinger of Rochester, N.Y.; father- and mother-in-law, Kim and Karen Bolinger of Rochester, N.Y.; also many cousins.
Friends may call at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home in Wellsville on Monday (Sept. 26, 2016) and Tuesday (Sept. 27, 2016) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday (Sept. 28, 2016) in the Genesis Bible Church in Scio with Pastors Marc Chamberlain and Glen Layfield as co-celebrants. Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Scio.
