Melvin retired from Timex as an automation Technician. He was a member of Oak Bower Church of Christ. Melvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and bowling in his free time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of forty eight years, Earnestine Hodges, one son, David Hodges, one daughter, Janet Hodges, five brothers, William E. Hodges, Charlie James Hodges, Andrew Hodges, Hamp Hodges and Doyle D. Hodges, two sisters, Mary Bryant and Mattie Turner.
Survivors are his wife of twenty one years, Judith Ann Robbins Hodges of Bismarck, one step son, Bruce Fuller (Michelle)of Bismarck, one step daughter, Teresa Fuller of Jonesboro, thirteen grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren and nineteen great-great grandchildren.
