ANGIER – Glenn Douglas Wallace, 67, of Angier was called home on Sunday morning.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Wallace, Jr. and his mother, Betty Blue Currin Wallace.
He is survived by his wife and soulmate of over 45 years, Sylvia Sawyer Wallace; two daughters, Sonya Wallace Piper and husband, Billy, Melissa Wallace and special companion, Heather Drake; a grandson bearing his name, Elijah Glenn Piper; two step-grandsons, William and Michael Piper; brother, O.B. Wallace and wife, Betty Lou; nephews, Patrick Wallace, Travis Wallace and wife, Cassie; two great-nephews, two great-nieces, and several other special nieces, nephews and cousins, whom he dearly loved.

The funeral service will be private. Family and friends are invited to attend the committal service on Thursday, March 26th at 2:15 PM at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, 2712 Oak Grove Church Road, Angier.

Glenn attended Buies Creek High School where he met his wife, Sylvia. They were classmates from 1st grade through their graduation in 1971. They were elected Mr. and Miss Senior Class of BCHS their senior year. After high school, Glenn attended NC State University before becoming a farmer, and later, a service technician with AmeriGas, from where he retired.

He loved his family and the Lord with all his heart. He was a constant, loving role model to his girls, helping to raise them to love God. Glenn was a man who led his family with a gentle spirit, and was steadfast and unwavering in all things good. He loved to hunt, surf fish, and was a creative woodworker.
Glenn was truly a “jack of all trades” and would not hesitate to help anyone with anything.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the
American Heart Association in Glenn’s memory
(online at www.heart.org or mail to: 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX, 75231).
