Peggy E. Cooper, 83 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Monday, March 23, 2020, at her home in Cookeville.
Peggy was born Saturday, July 11, 1936 in Lexington, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Jimmie (Wilson) Overall.
Peggy was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and friend to all who knew her. She was a very avid student of the Bible. She graduated from Medina High School and attended Freed Hardeman College for 1 year. While there she met her husband, Sammy Cooper. They were married in April of 1956 and were married for 55 years. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. She also worked as a secretary at Tennessee Tech University.
Peggy is survived by: 1 Daughter and Son-in-law; Mary and Charles Lankford of Cookeville, TN;
1 Son and Daughter-in-law: Phillip and Linda Cooper of Maiden, NC; 4 Grandchildren: Jonathan, Patrick, Rachel, Ethan; 1 Sister: Linda Rutherford of Michigan; Several Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to her parents Peggy was preceded in death by her Husband: Sammy Cooper, and 1 Brother: Charles Overall.
Graveside services were held Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with Jan Cupp officiating. Interment followed in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
