Brian E. Stone, 61, of Taylorville, passed away at 4:02 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2020 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

Brian was born February 13, 1959 in Taylorville, the son of Robert Nelson and Adene (Johnson) Stone, Sr. Brian moved to Florida in 1980, where he installed irrigation systems for landscaping and golf courses. In 2006, he moved back and was employed by GSI as a forklift operator. Brian was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing, hunting, and riding horses and motorcycles.



He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; and sister, Becky Mendoza.



Brian is survived by his mother, Adene Rightnowar of Marble Hill, MO; sons, Jason (wife, Brittany) Stone of Pickville, TN, and Josh (wife, Kim) Stone of Lexington, TN; daughter, Amy Stone of Clinton, NC; grandchildren, Baylee, Jacie, Dani, and Rylee, all of TN; brothers, Bob (wife, Lu Anne) Stone, Jr. of Palmer, Kevin (wife, Pat) Stone of Pekin, and Ron (wife, Hope) Stone of Peoria; sisters, Charlotte (husband, Ed) Adams of Peoria, Sandy (husband, Jim) Lutz of Monterey, TN, Vicki (husband, Usama) Dakdok of Marble Hill, MO, Susan (husband, Rod) Petty of Taylorville, and Debbie Stone of Peoria; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.



A private family graveside ceremony will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, with Rev. Chad Foster officiating.



The family has entrusted Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home, 304 Carlin St., Morrisonville, IL 62546 with ceremonies.
