Douglas Burton Bailey, son of the late Graham and Elsie Bailey passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the age of 68.

Doug was an outstanding career employee at Carolina Country Club in Raleigh for 46 years enabling him to retire in 2015. He was dedicated to his profession as an Assistant Superintendent and mentored numerous employees through the years in the golf course industry.

Surviving are his children, Mark Bailey and wife, Kelly of McGee's Crossroads, Donna Bailey Stephens and husband, Jody of Raleigh; their mother, Susan Bailey; grandchildren, Nolan and Brae Bailey, Kallie Bailey, Brooke and Brittany Stephens; Sisters, Jean Bailey of Wendell, Lois Moore of Selma and Bobby Bailey of Florida.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Leavoy Bailey and a sister, Pauline Bailey Massengill. A gathering of friends will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 from 5:00 until 7:00 at McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton.
