LUNENBURG – Patricia Powell Kovacs, 78, of Cole Hill Road, died Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster, after a long illness.

Patsy, as she was known by most, was born March 21, 1943 in Lancaster, the daughter of William J. Powell and Manola (Young) Powell. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1962.

She worked many years at the Lancaster National Bank. A craft person, she was often sewing for others. Especially fond of sewing doll clothes. She also did bookkeeping for the Gilman Water Department and was Trustee of Public Money for the Town of Lunenburg.

Patsy is survived by her husband of 20 years Albert Kovacs of Lunenburg; a son John Albert "Jad" Drew of Nashville, TN; a sister Barbara Rollins of Belmont, NH; a brother Robert Powell of Tilton, NH; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Glen Drew; brothers William, Richard, and Lawrence "Gomer" Powell; and life-long friend Genese Blanchette.

She was a life-long Communicant of St. Leo's Catholic Church in Lunenburg until masses were no longer held there, she then attended the masses of Gate of Heaven Parish in Lancaster and Whitefield.

Due to COVID concerns there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning, May 4th at 10:00 AM at St. Leo's Church, Lunenburg. Fr. Karl Hahr, pastor of the Corpus Christi Parish, will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, South Lunenburg. Masks are required at the mass and burial.
