Lawrence Homer May, 84, a resident of McComb, died March 7, 1991, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

Services were at 10 a.m. today at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb, Dr. James Sanders, the Rev. E. M. Fleming, and the Rev. D. L. Callendar officiated. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery.

Mr. May was born Sept 27, 1906, in Pike County. He was the son of Isaac Edward May and Arie Moak May.

He was a retired contractor and owner of L. H. May Construction. He also was a member of West McComb Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 382 and a Shriner.

Mr. May also was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley May, Hilton May and Finelee May; one sister, Gladys May Stinson; one granddaughter, Debbie Stinson Boyd; and one son-in-law, Billy D. Stinson.

He is survived by his wife, Luanna Smith May of McComb; one son, Harold Lamar May of McComb; one daughter-in-law, Jeanie May of McComb; one daughter, Juanita May Seale of Fernwood; one son-in-law, O. J. Seale of Fernwood; two brothers, C. W. May of McComb and Vernon May of Summit; one sister, Mrs. J. W. (Evelyn) Bigner of Jackson; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Robby Stinson, Byron Stinson, Steve Jones, Glen May, Tommy May and Wendell Alexander.
