MEBANE - Frances Shanklin Carter, 97 of Burlington formerly of Mebane died Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Hospice Home of Burlington. A Graveside service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 PM Monday at Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery by Pastor Julia Alliger. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Association of Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church, 3505 Chestnut Ridge Church Road, Efland, NC 27243.
