Michelle L. Henderson, 32, of Liverpool passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday. Born in Syracuse, she was raised in Liverpool graduating from Liverpool High School. Michelle completed her education receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. She played a significant role in after school education. As a liaison with Say Yes To Education, as a tutor with the Stevenson Center, and in her role at the Dunbar Center, Michelle was able to touch the lives of countless young people. She not only managed youth programs but also opened doors for several aspiring educators. Michelle also had a love for animals, spending years in animal rescue and fostering. She is predeceased by her father, Chris L. Henderson in 1994.

Surviving are her beloved son, Luca C. King, her mother, Patricia S. Henderson and her Lions & Tigers partner, Glen Chandler, sister, Chanele (Errol) McKenzie, grandmother, Louise Sbarra, several aunts, especially Aunt Paulette who was always there for Michelle, uncles, cousins, two nieces and her animal family, rescue dog Yogi, rescue cat Sheba and rescue dog Xena, who will all miss her dearly.

Services will be private with burial in Pine Plains Cemetery in Clay.
