Barbara Kay Hale (Johnson), Age 79, of Mpls., MN, passed away peacefully on March 16th, 2020. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Catherine Johnson; husband, Wayne Lawrence; and sister, Margaret Johnson. Barbara (Barb) resided in Minneapolis for her full life. She was; creative, sporty, loved to decorate, had a good sense of humor, long hair and a beautiful smile! She had a passion for fashion and made her own clothes for her paper dolls when she was young. Barb was an excellent seamstress and attended fashion school later in life. In high school she played basketball. She like to tell stories of her first job; being a gift wrapper at Sears and waitressing at the Left Guard, where many Minnesota Vikings frequented. She loved music of all genres and was a unique, hip Grandma to her seven grandchildren. Her last years were spent in the Catholic eldercare Community, staying independent and watching a lot of good movies. Survived by daughters, Kathryn Lawrence-Wankel, (father, Wayne Lawrence) and Kristina McLaughlin (father, James Hale); brothers David (Ginny), James, and Robert; 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren. Due to the covid-19 outbreak, a service honoring Barbs life will be held at a later date. In lieu of Flowers, memorials to the family can be sent to Gill Brothers Funeral Home, Mpls,
