Cary Philip Dan, 66, was called to Heaven on December 24, 2019 surrounded by love at his home in Holly Lake Ranch, Texas. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. His funeral service will be held after the Visitation on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. at the Restland Wildwood Chapel, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.

Cary was born on December 13, 1953 in East Chicago, Indiana to Virgil and Evelyn Dan. After receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College in 1979, he had a successful career owning his own chiropractic offices in the DFW and East Texas areas. His kind heart touched many, and there is nothing that he enjoyed more than helping people live pain free lives.

Cary fell in love with his wife, Michele, the minute she walked into his chiropractic office as a patient. Their love was a real-life fairy tale, as the two were clearly soulmates. They were engaged after a month and a half and married after three months. They celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on November 28, 2019. Cary has 2 children, Jessica and Justin as well as 6 grandchildren and 3 fur babies, Chloe, Shiloh and Mattie that he and Michele love dearly.

His passion for life and people shined through in his everyday life. He was an avid golfer and could rarely be found without a camera in tow. Cary was always the life of the party everywhere he went with a quick wit and an innate ability to make people laugh. He also had a deep passion for music and loved playing the guitar.

Cary was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Evelyn Dan, and his brother, Bruce Dan.

He is survived by his wife, Michele Dan; daughter, Jessica Sustaire and her husband Bruce Sustaire; son, Justin Dan and his wife Andrea Dan; sister, Lisa Murphy and her husband Patrick Murphy; sister, Becky Baker and her husband Michael Baker; brother, Philip Dan; and his grandchildren, Nathan, River and Calie Steck, and Justin (JD), Annabelle and Annica Dan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Holly Lake Dog Shelter (P.O. Box 21 Hawkins, TX 75765), where Cary lovingly spent his time volunteering.
