Nancy M. Peters (nee Wick), age 76, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at her home in West Bend. She was born on February 3, 1944 in Milwaukee, WI to Norbert and Lucy (nee Diderrich) Wick.

Nancy was raised in Milwaukee along with 3 sisters and 7 brothers, and graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee in 1962. On June 8, 1963 she married the love of her life, Dennis Peters. Together they raised three sons and worked hard to provide the best they could for their family. Nancy’s resume included flipping houses, running a retail business, buying and selling antiques, and a long career in real estate.

In between work and raising a family, she enjoyed hanging out at Silver Lake, gardening, spending time with friends and family, playing cards, line dancing, music and travel, including trips to Italy, China, Hawaii and the World Trade Center Memorial in New York. But most of all Nancy adored her six grandchildren and looked for any reason to spend time with them.

Nancy’s best trait was her generosity. She would help anyone in need who asked, and many who didn’t. From an injured animal to a bone marrow transplant for her sister, and anything in between. When relatives or strangers needed a home, she opened her door.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of nearly 57 years, Dennis; 3 sons, Mark (Tamar), Michael (Dawn), and Martin (Sarah); grandchildren, Asher and Azi, Nicholas (Stephanie) and Allison, Sophie and Lucy; and 9 siblings, Donald (Marilyn) Wick, Judy Beaudot, Norbert Jr. “Tim” (Becky) Wick, Russell (Elaine) Wick, Michael (Sharon) Wick, Patricia Stephenson, Gary (Katherine) Wick, Charles Wick, Daniel (Molly) Wick. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Nancy is preceded in death by her beloved parents Norbert and Lucy, her sister Noreen, and other relatives and friends.

Due to CDC restrictions, A Private Family Graveside Service will held be at Washington County Memorial Park. A Celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association (620 S 76th St, Suite 160 Milwaukee, WI 53214-1599).

The family would like to express a very special thank you to Karri Schultz from Karring Partners, and Nancy’s niece, Patty Clark for their incredible care and compassion. We were truly blessed to have them in our lives as they worked closely with Dennis and his unwavering love and commitment to make Nancy’s last years at home as comfortable and fun as possible. (Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash helped quite a bit too!)
