Evelyn Yvonne Salyers Harrison,61, Elizabethton passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 20, 2020 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
She was a native of Lebanon, Virginia, She was a 1977 graduate of Lebanon High School. She had lived in Elizabethton for a number of years. Evelyn was a retired Manager with Kentucky Fried Chicken. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her father: Robert Patton Salyers, Sr., her husband Wayne Tracy Harrison who passed away March 26, 2014, her grandchildren: David , Noah, Joseph, Abel, & Khloe, her brother: Robert Salyers, Jr., her sister: Lillian Kay Robins, a nephew: David Salyers and a brother-in-law: Johnny Elliott.
Survivors include her daughters: Susanne (Allen) Tisdale and April Dawn Canter, both of Elizabethton. Her Grandchildren: Chyenne Yvonne Canter and James Timothy Boardwine, III. Her Mother: Marion Salyers, a Brother: Michael (Opal) Salyers, a sister: Beverly Elliott. Several nieces, nephews & cousins and a very special little friend Isabella.
Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gene Fleanor officiating. Interment will follow in the Harrison Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Pallbearers will be selected from family. Friends may visit with the family at her residence Monday until 6 p.m.. Friends may also register their presence at the funeral home Monday until 5 p.m. and Tuesday until the service hour.
