Funeral services for Otis "Mickey" Ford Sr., 64, of Wharton, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Faith Church. Burial will follow in Bowden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Matthews Funeral Home.
Mr. Ford died Jan. 16, 2004 at Methodist Hospital Medical Center. He was born May 6, 1939 in Wharton to the late Leroy and Valrie Brown Ford Sr. He was the owner of Ford's Paint and Body Shop.
Survivors include wife, Betty J. Moore; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Ricky Ray, and Angela and Nelson Brown; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Rose Ann Ford, Kenneth and Rose Marie Ford, Otis and Yolanda Ford Jr., Marous and Kim Ford, and Leman and Marlo Ford Sr.; brothers and sisters, Leroy Ford Jr., Angie and Elmo Jones, Alyene Aitch, Mary Jackson, and Nellie and Homer Humphrey; 29 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
