Charlie grew up in Springport and resided there until his marriage to Lisa Barney Pritchard in 1980. Their daughter, Aprille Renee Pritchard preceded him in death on October 7, 2018. Also preceding him in death are his parents, grandparents Edgar and Jane Lawton and Charles and Charlotte Pritchard.
Surviving are his wife, brother Michael (Kim) Pritchard, sisters Cynthia Wright and Charlotte (Ed) Grable, and Donna Harper. Mother and step-father-in-law Rose and Robert Moore, Father-in-law Rolland "Al" Barney, Brother-in-law Todd (Jill) Barney and sister-in-law Melissa Barney. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Charlie worked as a mechanic and loved to make a motor "run healthy and strong". He enjoyed working in his garage and was great at troubleshooting and never gave up on a project. His greatest passion was the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and searching for morels were his favorite hobbies. He was a caring soul, would help anyone and had a soft spot in his heart for animals. Charlie was a loving husband and father, and a friend to many. He will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held at the Springport Cemetery on Friday, March 20, 2020.
