43, died, July 29, 2007, in Cheverly, MD. The son of William L. and Frances L. Armstrong of Syracuse, NY, Scott graduated from Nottingham H.S., where he excelled in football and lacrosse. He attended Norfolk State Univ. in Virginia and the Univ. of the District of Columbia, majoring in education and history. Scott was a substitute teacher for the public school system and was devoted to mentoring and encouraging young people. He was a football coach for both high school and the Boys & Girls Club. As a member of the Outreach Christian Center, Scott was a teacher in its Children's Church and a member of the Men's Fellowship. His survivors include daughter, Nya Erin; his parents; sisters, Tracy (Frederick) Johnson, Juliet (Jerome) Armstrong-Dunbar and Vinita (Darren) Chavis; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Frances Vaughn; and a host of relatives and friends. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007, at Outreach Christian Center, 6701 Clinton Manor Dr., Clinton, MD 20735.
