On the Civil War pension application of her father, Thomas Turpin, the birth date of Delilah Anne Turpin was listed as January 26, 1843 and her death certificate indicate she was born about 1843 which leads me to believe that the birth date on her headstone is incorrect.
My husband Dennis, cousins Becky Coger-Roberts & Ruby Fern Poe-Davidson & I visited with 3 of her granddaughters Georgia, Vernell & Kathleen & two of her great granddaughters, Carolyn "Kaye" Noggle-Ewing and her sister Brenda both daughters of Georgia Lorene Keathley-Noggle in September 2005 at the home of Georgia Lorene nee Keathley-Noggle in Conway,Arkansas.
I learned that Delilah's first marriage was to Richard Davidson on March 1, 1860 in Muddy Bayou Twp, Conway County, AR. He died of pneumonia within a few years, as did their child.
Delilah then married James Reed and they had Tinsy {Tennessee}, Cora I and Arrilla Reed. This marriage ended in divorce before June 1880.
Delilah Anne Turpin/Davidson/Reed then married William Alexander {Elek} Keathley on 07 Dec 1884 in AR, Faulkner County.
They are the parents of William Alex Ozell Leann "Curley C." Keathley, Edwin Ora Cecil Keathley and Tennessee nee Keathley-Fulmer.
