Cochran – Jerry Lee Norris, age 73, who died Thursday, March 19, 2020, at his residence after a long battle with cancer. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, March 22, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Jerry, was a lifelong resident of Bleckley County. He was the son of the late James Harold, Sr. and Grace Cook Norris and was preceded in death by his brothers, James Harold “Buddy” Norris, Jr. and Allen Norris. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and owner and operator of Just Tinkering Garage, where he enjoyed cooking for his friends. He was a US Navy Veteran of Vietnam, was technical inspector for several dirt track race car tracks and loved all racing and mud bogging. He was an original member and officer of The Cary Hunting Club, loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Jerry looked forward to his trips to Rozier Auto Parts with his pet bulldog and sidekick “Rebel”.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara Lucas Norris of Cochran; his daughter, Lisa (Rusty) Meeks of Cochran; grandson, Patrick Scoles of Warner Robins; his pet bulldog and sidekick Rebel; several nieces and nephews.
