Isaac Wiseman II was the son of Isaac Wiseman I and Elizabeth (Davis) Wiseman of Amity Township, Lancaster County (now Berks County), Pennsylvania. Isaac II married Mary Magdalene Armentrout in Rockingham County, Virginia circa 1785. They had the following children: Margaret, Mary, John, Samuel, Isaac III, Elizabeth, Rachel, Anna Barbara, Esther,Jane, Phoebe, Henry and Sarah. Isaac II died in Perry Township, Gallia County, Ohio and was buried in McKendree Cemetery also known as Wiseman Cemetery also in Perry Township not far from Rio Grande, Ohio. His tombstone states he died July 14th, 1852 aged 90 years which would put his birth 1762 but other sources give 1764. Ernest N. Wiseman, Wiseman Family Association historian for many years always said Isaac II was in the Revolutionary War along with his father Isaac I and his brothers Joseph and John. He would have been either 17 or 19 years old at the end of the war and many who served were younger than that.
