Mr. Jackie Earl Perkins of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2007, at his home on the Bethel Road. He was 54 years old.
Graveside funeral services were held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the T. Chitwood in Pine Knot with Rev. Clay Cook officiating. The family received friends Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time for services at the cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Dople, Tom Slaven, Dustin Davenport, Daniel Woods, Chris Woods and Teddy Dople.
Born December 21, 1952, he was the son of the late Bates and Bertha Jones Perkins. He is also preceded in death by two sisters Ruth Lee Perkins and Lois Smith.
Jack had been a mechanic working for Kahn's Packing Company in Ohio, but has been disabled for some time.
He has five sons and three grandchilden residing in Ohio. He has one brother Billy Ray Perkins of Oneida, Tennessee and three surviving sisters, Faye Dople of Pine Knot, Mary Lou Yager of Highland Heights, Kentucky, and Susie Huff of Largo, Florida.
