He was the son of James Braden and Nancy Francis Walker-Cummings-Blunt-Braden. He was married to the former Mary Margaret Smith on 07 Feb 1890 in Taney Co. MO. Children of Charles Edward Braden and Mary Margaret Smith-Braden were: William Everett, Pearl Jane, Bertha Almeda, Teelie Neoma and Joseph Alfred.
