MUNCIE - Millard F. Bell, 87, Muncie, died early Monday morning in The Waters of Yorktown following an extended illness. Mr. Bell was born in Monticello, Ky., to William Edward and Zona C. Bell. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. His most recent employment was at Wearly Monuments as a stencil cutter, retiring in 1975. His memberships included Bell Hill Baptist Church, VFW Post 651, and the musical group "Over the Hill Gang." Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Flonnie Bell; three sons, Cliff Bell (wife: Linda), Aaron L. Bell (wife: Sharon) and Eric D. Bell (wife: Kelly); one daughter, Wanda L. Bell; four brothers, Glen Bell (wife: Quintas), Dillard Bell (wife: Betty), Howard B. Bell (wife: Sue) and J.D. Bell (wife: Rachel), and three sisters, Athaleen Chriswell, Delia Conatser (husband: Shelby) and Doris Decker. There are also 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Randall and Don Bell; one daughter, Yevonne Bell; two brothers, Clifford and Hillard Bell, and two sisters, Alma Sutton and Elsie Hughes. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Parson Mortuary with Rev. David Philebaum and Rev. Ron Elam officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Veterans of Delaware County will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
