Born at Weona, he had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann.
He was a retired truck driver, an Army paratrooper and communication specialist of the Vietnam War, prison minister and deacon of Living Waters Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Wayne Stout; one brother, James Earl Stout and his parents, Jim and Flossie Floyd Stout.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bartlett Stout of the home; three daughters, Karen Dye of Panama City, Fla., Norma Perry of Morrow and Tricia Woodard of Springdale; three sons, Edward Stout Jr., Phillip Stout and Gary Stout, all of Trumann; two sisters, Patsey Randall and Marie Cookey, both of Springdale; three brothers, Jerry Stout, James Stout and Marvin Stout, all of Springdale; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Landmark Worship Center at Trumann. Burial was in Potters Cemetery in Lepanto under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
